The Piper Cub is without argument the most iconic aircraft in American history. Beginning production in the late 1930’s, the Cub was intended for primary training, a lot of which was for future U.S. Army pilots during World War II. It’s legacy continued throughout civilian aviation and became a pilot and family’s best friend. Known for their charm, distinct personality, and friendly yet challenging handling characteristics, the Piper Cub makes a phenomenal primary trainer. It’s no secret, however, that it’s main purpose is to take Jamie up to watch infamous Wisconsin sunsets.
